About the College
The Open Training College exists to provide accredited training and consultancy services to the human services and non-profit sector. Established by St. Michael’s House in 1992, we have spent over 30 years supporting people and organisations working in disability and human services across Ireland.
Open Training College is a specialist further and higher education provider focused on the disability sector and human service organisations. Our work is rooted in frontline practice and shaped by the day-to-day realities of the people and services we work with.
We provide QQI-accredited programmes, continuing professional development, customised training and consultancy services. Our programmes range from foundation-level awards through to honours degree and special purpose awards in social care, applied management and disability studies.
Everything we do is designed to be sector-specific, practical and grounded in the lived experience of staff, students and service users.
